So - this is the album I'd always dreamed of making. Not in a major studio, not backed by the big boys, an album made because it needed to be done. My way. Asa Bennett came over from the UK and produced it, Danny Kadar mixed it in North Carolina, Buster Flawes engineered, and my band and I recorded an album that is a perfect snapshot of my life in October 2010.

Best of all - this album is creating change. It was released to raise the profile of men's mental health, and it has done just that. In fact, so successful has it been, it has spawned the Whirlwind Trust - a charity dedicated to helping ordinary men tell their extraordinary stories.

I love how it was recorded, and I love how it sounds.
